Canfor Utensili S.r.l. was founded in 1973 in Milan, born from the innovative vision of Franco Zapparoli, who introduced a 4mm nylon cable rod as an alternative to the traditional steel rods used in electrical installations. This invention marked the beginning of a continuous evolution in both quality and technological innovation. Over the years, the company expanded its range of products, developing new solutions for both civil and industrial installations, such as nylon-steel and fiberglass rods.
In 1985, Canfor Utensili introduced containers and rod reels, tools designed to keep the equipment organized and easily accessible. Today, the company offers one of the most comprehensive product ranges on the market, serving both national and international markets. The variety and quality of its products allow electrical installers to find the ideal solutions tailored to their specific needs, taking into account the type of work and their available budget.
In addition to its range of cable rods, Canfor has developed other practical products, such as cable unwinding systems and cable pulling socks, as well as solutions for cable installation like the antifriction liquids FLUID, which simplify the process of threading cables through conduits. In the 2000s, Canfor introduced patented products, including the IDEAL® Perlon® rod in 2007 and the motorized reels IN.TI.® in 2008. The company also stood out with the creation of the DINAMICA polyester rod in 2006, a product that has been continually improved, leading to the launch of the 172 polyester rod Ø 2 mm in 2022.
Since 2019, Canfor has continued to innovate by introducing new patented equipment, such as reel unwinders and tracers for indoor and outdoor use. Today, the Canfor brand is recognized across Europe for the quality and reliability of its products for both civil and industrial installations, standing out for the use of premium materials and ease of use.
Canfor Utensili's consistent hard work has earned the company several recognitions. In 2009, the Chamber of Commerce awarded the company a diploma for its outstanding achievements, along with the Ambrogino d’Oro medal. The following year, in 2010, the company received the honorary diploma and the Mercurio d’Oro award from the city of Milan, in recognition of its significant contribution to the economic and social development of the community.
Canfor has also achieved the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification, recognizing its high standards in the design and production of cable rods and the marketing of tools for electrical installers.
Additionally, the company has demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability. Since 2008, thanks to the installation of a photovoltaic system at its Milan plant, Canfor has managed to reduce its CO2 emissions by nearly 30 tons per year, underscoring its dedication to environmental protection.
