RELECO (RELECO, SA) was a Spanish company specialized in the manufacture of plug-in industrial relays and bases, founded in 1962 and was made up of a team of more than 200 professionals, in facilities of more than 5,000 m² located in the city of Alcorcón, 19 km from Madrid.
RELECO began export activities in 1972, was present in more than 60 countries, representing 80% of its production, which exceeded 5,000,000 of annual relays.
The company was acquired by the Swiss company Comat AG in April 2006 and in May 2013 bankrupt.
Then the production unit was acquired by a group of Spanish industrialists (Relaygo Components, SL ) thus continuing the production of the original RELECO relays until mid-2016.
Currently the new relays bear the combined brand ComatReleco.
