Sanyo Denki was stablished in 1927 under legal name Sanyo Shokai Co., Ltd. in Japan. They started with the import and sale of electrical equipment.
Capitalizing on their expertise in rotary technology gained from SANUPS developments and introduced Japan's first AC and DC servo motors under the brand name of SANMOTION in 1952. In 1965, they launched the San Ace brand for their cooling fans, leveraging the motor technology. Today, they operate under three product brands: SANUPS, SANMOTION and San Ace.
