The shield SD card adds storage to your Arduino project. Users can read and write to the SD card through the Arduino library.
It supports SD, SDHC and Micro SD cards. It will only deal with the SPI port on the Arduino board. Compared to previous versions, which combines the standard SD slot and the Micro SD slot into one standard, the included adapter allows the use of Micro SD cards. You can stack other shields that work with unused pins. Additionally, the preformed I2C and UART port make it easy to connect to plug-and-play (Grove) modules.
