The MKR WIFI 1010 is a significant improvement of the MKR 1000 WIFI. It is equipped with an ESP32 module made by U-BLOX. This board aims to accelerate and simplify the creation of prototype WiFi-based IoT applications thanks to the flexibility of the ESP32 module and its low power consumption.
The board consists of three main blocks:
SAMD21 Cortex- Low-power M0 + MCU 32-bit
Wi-Fi IEEE® 802.11 b / g / n U-BLOX 2.4GHz NINA-W10 series low power
ECC508 Crypto Authentication
The MKR WIFI 1010 It has a 32-bit computing power, the usual rich set of low-power I / O and Wi-Fi interfaces with a Cryptochip for secure communication using SHA-256 encryption. In addition, it offers the user-friendliness of the Arduino (IDE) software for code development and programming
Its USB port can be used to supply power (5 V) to the board. It has a Li-Po charging circuit that allows the Arduino MKR WIFI 1010 to run on battery power or with an external 5-volt source, charging the Li-Po battery while running on external power. The change from one source to another is done automatically
