The V850 Pro’s dual-lens system automatically selects the most suitable lens for each type of paper you want to scan. And with optical resolution of up to 4800 dpi for photo scanning and up to 6400 dpi when scanning film media, you’re guaranteed high-quality results.
Our new and improved film holders now offer an even greater level of control and precision, allowing you to fine-tune the height at which the film is positioned above the scanner bed to achieve the sharpest possible focus. Plus, rigid holder frames and the use of anti-Newtonian ring glass provide flatter adhesion for even more quality improvements. Because the V850 Pro comes with two sets of film holders, you can prepare a second set of originals for scanning while the first is still in progress, improving productivity.

Digital ICE technology automatically removes dust, hair, scratches and fingerprints from film scans1 to return images to their original state. It also works on photos and even removes creases and rips/tears to make your old photos look like new again.

The scanner has an optical density of 4.0 DMax, which means it can even capture small tonal differences from the brightest areas (white) to the darkest areas (black). This means it can reproduce the tone of original films and photographs for clear, accurate results.
The scanner's enhanced optical system (High Pass Optics) uses anti-reflective lens coatings and a high-reflection mirror to deliver razor-sharp images and improve scanning speed.
